hey yall
i had a 97 gs spyder cost to much 2 fix so i bout a 97 gs n im going to use the other as a part car or whateva...well heres the problems with the car....

QUESTION #1
IT DRIVES FINE UNTIL I GET TO 75 TO 80MPH THEN IT STARTS TO RUMBLE NOT THE ENGINE BUT THE TIRES IT FEELS LIKE..THE STEERING WHEEL DOESNT SHAKE AT ALL IT ACTUALLY STAYS STEADY... WHAT COULD THAT BE..TIRE ROD ENDS OR WHEEL BALANCING?

I DONT KNO WHATS WRONG WITH THE CLUTCH IT GOES INTO GEAR FINE EXCEPT 5TH KINDA GRINDS INTO GEAR...BUT THATS NOT A BIG PROBLEM THE PROBLEM IS I CANT DOWNSHIFT....LIKE IF IM IN 5TH GEAR N HAVE TO HIT MY BRAKES WHILE DOING LIKE 60 I CANT DOWNSHIFT INTO 4TH GEAR.... WHAT COULD THAT BE...CLUTCH...CLUTCH PLATE???

for question one i would say it needs to be balanced..

For the clutch problem i am not really sure..

Have you checked the fluid levels? Bled the system? I don't think that would really matter, considering it is involving one gear though.

Sometimes the synchronizers will wear out, which help with the ease of shifting into certain gears.(Each gear has a synchro.) Usually when they wear out you will have some grinding when going into whichever gear. If you ease it in very gently does it do it?

I've never heard of them making it hard to downshift, but it could also be a side effect.

Sounds like wheel bearings.

Sounds like you're barely generating enough pressure, bleed the clutch and see what happens.

ok wheel bearings didnt think about that one...might go get it diagnose for that problem
and one other thing
how do i bleed the clutch system doesnt sound hard i know how to bleed the brake system..my brother showed me a long time ago
