something stupid, i feel dumb  i did a search, dont know if i did it right, but did't find what i was looking for, I know Vfaq has some info on it, and i found some others, The Fedex man brought me my Autometer gauge works dual gauge pod and my autometer boost/vac gauge, i was also sapost to get my oil presure gauge, but some one screwed up and i got a ford windsor dipstick   ,, makes me think about who [the vendor] is working with :| any ways, i have read that the "P" on the T-body is a good place, easest to tap, and some say the Fuel Presure Soiliod is the best. Can any one snap a picture for me and what size "T" should i get, i did't get one with my gauge. I hate being a noob but all well. Thanks for the help in advance :D :talon:

father to me "Wow Grim, You finaly got a boost gauge"

me to my father "be quite or you will install it"

[A vendor] screwed me on an order too. They sent me a corvette short shifter instead of my fuel pressure regulator! Then I never got a response from them regarding it.

cool, sorry for the late repost, but thanks to your picture i got it :thumb: and im going electric boost controler, but thanks for the info on the MBC, as for [the vendor] i called them and they are over nighting me my oil pressure gauge. so thats tomorows install  like to have done all this all once but thats my luck. thanks for the help :thumb: :dsm: :talon:

boost line is ran, got it hooked up, now working on the lighting, i did what vfaq did to tie it in with my dimmer, but keept blowing fues no matter what way i did the wires, so im goning to tap into my stereo harness for power is that ok? im out of options, working on a day thats 82deg and in a black car sucks  taken brakes, running to store and back, i tested the gauge, i get 20vac is that good or bad??? thanks.

Got it in, Finaly!!!! 20vac and it hits 12psi on the bost!! I love it, now need my dam oil gauge :D but i ran it to the ground on the stereo, and to the illm wire and light comes on. good install, Ill take a picture after i cool off. :thumb:

Thanks J.k, took a picture just a few sec's ago, cant tell its green, dam flash on my dig must be 500wt or something  but here it is, reading about 18vac, in the background is my one friends honda accord  will take another tomorow. Thanks for all the help guys! :talon: :dsm: :thumb:

LOL.......You do know that you have to use tools to hook up the oil gauge right?..It's not as novice as the bost gauge..I'm planning on one myself here in the spring..

Well, until you can say that I said something then please keep my ****ing name out of your mouth..

i just installed my boost gauge tuesday night
snake the power AND the ground down to the bottom of the dash.

pull the trim piece with the power mirrors and cruise on/off switches out.
on the mirror directional pad you will find a connector with several wires, but 2 of them are way off on the end with nothing above them
green w/ white stripe is on the very end, this is illumination power. if you don't want your gauge to dim ground the negative wire to chassis.

If you do want them to dim, the wire right next to it (the only wire next to it (grey w/ ?black?)) is the floating ground that goes to the resistor. connect the neg wire there.

the power turns it on and off, and the negative dims it.

I have mine wired up with the stereo, but when i put my oil, i might run it that way, i dont know y i would want them to dim, but who knows, thanks tho :thumb:

on the highway at night in the desert, you'd be amazed how dim you run your gauges...

mostly though in town, no problem... but dimming is great if your gauge is bright enough or too bright.

ORSO: then tell him in person instead of on a national public forum. the rest of us don't want or need to read this teasing or slander or verbal abuse.
