Once i got my logger i started logging with my boost controller completely unhooked. So on my autometer boost gauge it shows about 10psi. The log is really clean with maybe 2 counts of knock at the most around 5,000rpm. The only thing thats shitty is i have really high IDC's for such low boost they are hitting around %84.
So something is definantly going on, i checked for boost leaks and ive got leaks coming out of the dipstick and really small one around the throttle body.
Now i put my MBC on and set it pretty low at about 12psi or so.
The weird thing is that with my MBC hooked up i start getting knock even before i hit 10psi. Ive got it hooked up via the nipple off the J-pipe if that matters at all.
Things done to the car:
HKS crappy foam intake filter with 1g mas
some crappy custom catback said to be 3" but this thing is has the worst bend ive ever seen and its basically shit.
(I obviously didnt put these mods on, they came with the car and will be replaced eventually)
also running a chip emulator with the stock 1g bin file at the moment.
So i am lost as to why im getting this knock running such low boost. Fuel issue maybe? Im still have yet to rewire my fuel pump. maybe a bad FPR?
Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.
