Dude, since when does Jeff get brand new cars? And since when would he let you drive it? I really need to get back to work.
that m5 was an oil change job, don't ask me people here are retarded... money+no brains = huge cars with "bling"

And there are newish cars all the time, that m5 was a rarity though. But I do have two friends with e36 m3's (the 3.2 liter, not the 3.0, so 96+) and even those cars just feel, easy... to drive. Even the performance versions of these cars is still designed for the common person. no me gusta....

edit: and yea, (in case tim doesn't check this for a while) tim did just buy that white 2g. its a 95 awd. Lets just say a college girl in a jeep had her way with the last one... rest in peice...you fwd thing you....

I met the owner of that car a while back, he was converting the car from modded to stock. He bought a few of my stock parts and sold the aftermarket stuff. He says freeway miles but how does he know? he only had the car for 1-2k miles and sold it..He told me he bought the car from an old guy for 2k so I hope he sold it to you at that range. The talon is nice

dude that guy was such a dick, he made tim pay 5k, I don't know why tim did it though. I guess the idea of a 2g awd was just too overwhelming for him. He said the compression was great, and I told tim, DO NOT BUY THAT CAR WITHOUT GETTING A COMPRESSION TEST. Tim has yet to get a compression check. Im not surprised he converted it from "modded" to stock. You should have seen how he drove the car while we were in it. 1g's are where its at. I don't think tim will be happy to see these last two posts...

Yea your friend tim overpaid 3k more than what the guy bought the car. Plus the car was modded and made more money by selling the parts and putting stock. For close to 150k miles I wouldn't be surprise if he has to rebuild soon..

I think the dudes name is Tom. He only had to car for 2-3k miles and makes statements that is all freeway miles and shit. My cousin was gona buy it and talk to me about it and I made sure he didn't cus I knew everything sense Tom told me everything because he was buying some parts off me

... that sucks, but its better than the geo prizm that I was driving in between. He really only bought that car for $2k? And by the way, I only paid $4600.

Yeah for 2k, he bought it from an old guy and the reason he bought it soo cheap was because the guy just wanted to get rid of it and the car had problems with the brakes and such and so tom lowered the price ridiculous because he said that he still has to fix the car to run properly so the guy gave in and said fine. Tom did fix the problems, went to a junkyard and pulled out stuff he needed but in no means were they *new* like he stated on his craigslist ad. He knew he could re sell the car on popular demand and the talon is a nice looking car.

Sure beats the Geo Prizm but never rush in to buying a car specially if the owner has no history of the car. How long did he say he had the car for? A compression test is a must, sure it seems like a bit of trouble to do but if he owner refuses then you know something is up. Any paperwork that shows the compression test?

He tried to make money off me by trying to hela pressuring me in buying his Volks rims or 06 Eclipse rims. I wanted him to buy my parts which he did but I wasn't trying to trade + cash for his stuff LOL. Those volks rims aren't sexy at all

No, he didn't refuse a compression test, I just never got one. Its a little late now anyways. The car does seem to run fine though. The only problem I have with it is its getting pretty bad gas mileage (like 20 mpg). And yes, those rims are crap. I'll just have to see how it turns out. I also was told of a place that sells engines from Japan (because apparently in Japan you have to switch out the engine every 50k miles) for pretty cheap, so I may just swap in a newer engine.

I don't think that he really had that much interest in it. I mean, it was up for 2 months on craigslist, so i don't know if it really is that popular of a car. Now if it was an Eclipse......
But really, that sucks, if I had known that history I would have second guessed buying it. Oh well, I bought it and now I got to stick with it, hopefully it won't have too many problems.

Hopefully those engines are in good condition too. Based on luck, don't think because it has low miles that is trouble free. I know of a friend that had this problem so it can happen :notgood: anyway if the car is running good then you're good plus is AWD and I'm sure you will take good care of it! :thumb:

Yeh, but that gas mileage thing is really beginning to hit the wallet. I was thinking seafoam and some injector cleaner with my next oil change... ideas?

Seafoam does clean all the carb build up in the motor but that can lead to new leaks that were blocked by all the carb build up. Try cleaning the injectors and replace your fuel filter when you do your next clutch job. Oil change sure and do not ever use Shell gas

I never use Shell anyways... not because it sucks, but because its at least 20 cents/gallon more than everyone else around here.
