Were there any other dark greens used? Unfortunately my data plate on the fire wall was wiped clean with a rag full of paint thinner during my engine bay painting. So my paint code info is gone.

Just wanted to make sure I got the right color. I know it's hard to tell from a picture but I'm pretty sure there was only one dark green used on the 1g dsm's right? G56 Monarch Green

I was using a toyota 6p2 (classisc green pearl) touch up pin for scratches. This color matched really well. But I let the color guy persuade me into mixing the factory color G56.

I had this color mixed my a local reputable paint shop and the color is about 1 shade to light and has a blueish tint to it.

I'll post up some pics of the finished hood to try and show what I mean.

Here is the car if it helps.

Did you blend it in with the fenders or did you just paint the hood?

no, removed the hood to paint it. I'm guessing maybe the color did look like this when it was painted in 93? Although one would think sun fading would make it lighter not darker?

I didn't expect a 100% match. I was just trying to confirm I did get the color code correct. Is the g56 monarch green the only dark green used on the 93 talons?

Thanks all! :thumb:

I didnt know of any other greens used on talons 92 to 94 im assuming thats the correct code, just not a 100% match like you said, thats about it.

same color with my 93 but my chrysler paint code is PGK,you know if you go to the dealer with the V.I.N they can give you the code right?,thats how i got mine

For the record G56 monarch green is the wrong color code for a 93. 96 and on used this paint code. G56 is almost a dark teal.

like so.

According to Orileys there were actually a couple different dark greens used the 94 and prior 1g DSM's.

Rather than guess at this thing again I opted to go with the Toyota factory paint Toyota Classic Green Pearl Color Code 6P2. This is the touchup pen's paint code that I had. It matched VERY closely.

Went with a 1 stage urethane. Scuffed up the hood and sprayed it on last night. Aside from the nasty orange peel,(my fault) I'm happy with the color. It's very close to the factory color. I'll post up some pics after I get it cured and bolted back on the car.
