Just got 92 automatic GSX, what is this thing?

Up around my interior light is a small screen that reads (A/T temp). What is this? Mine doesn't work or at least I don't think it does. Could it be a fuse or what?

when you turn the key on without the motor running and the idiot light on the dash are on, does the light come on? if so, its working. if not, try putting another bulb in. that light will only come on when the motor is running, if the tranny gets too hot.

And get on eBay for an Owner's Manual. Don't be too concerned with the specific year, just a 1G.

I've never seen an ATF temp light come on. I dont know what it takes to kick it in.

Let's just say your tranmission was over heating. Who in the hell would think to look up there? Anyway, thanks guys. Oh yeah, I'll pick up a manual too.
