If there is any other way to adjust ignition timing/CAS other then using a timing light?

The only way to set the base timing is with a timing light. Of course, the ecu will modify the timing based on load and rpm depending on what is in the high and low octane timing tables (that can be modified with tuning software). I can't think of any reason why you would need to adjust the CAS unless it's not working correctly.

Edit: just noticed you're N/T. I'm not sure if your ecu actually has high/low octane tables, but regardless the ecu will adjust timing on the fly based on load and rpm.
