Cool, much appreciated, will see you guys there. I'm bringing my brother along, not sure if he's going to bring his ride (92' Accord).

Friend of mine said he'd bring some chips.

I'll do my best to make the next meet, or possibly head up to the shoot out with some people if anyone is interested. I'm moving up to KC on the 16th so I will have to much going on with that.

First off, let me start by saying that I am new to the forums and I am not a forum guru so please forgive me if I do something wrong or break a forum rule. My name is Justin (HurtsBad) and Im 33, married with children. I dont have tons of free time but I am truly a fan of the eclipse/talon body styling. I have owned a 97 Talon TSI and currently own a 99 Spyder GS NA (daily driver) and a 99 RS coupe (runs and drives but am parting out)

I really dont know anything about motors so that is one main reason Im hoping to meet up with some local friends to help me along the way. I just came across your plans to meet tomorrow (dont think Ill be able to make this one) and that is what pushed me to join the forums. I live a couple hours south of KC but I am willing to drive to meets when I can.

If anyone in Kansas/Missouri area is interested in keeping in touch with me so I can bombard you with questions from time to time that would be awesome. I dont really mean to be a pain, Im just not mechanically inclined and have quite a road ahead of me as far as plans for my spyder.

Any help is truly appreciated and Im sure my questions will be labeled as total noob questions but it is what it is I guess.

I would like to also know about upcoming meets as they become available. KC, Wichita, Topeka etc. Im in southeast KS so about 2 hours from any of those cities.

Thanks for your time!

I think I could speak for everyone here, we here at DSMtuners will take care of our own. If you're close to one of us I'm sure they'd be glad to help. I personally would enjoy helping you, but I live in the UK (normally - currently on leave) so physically being there would be difficult for me. But if you have questions feel free to ask I'll be more than happy to assist you.

Can't wait you see you all out at this meet!
Sucks though, my ride won't be attending due to bent valves...

Yup were all here. I live in OP so just hit me up whenever!

OK so directions to the meet. If you are coming from MO you will want to get to 435 going west. There will be an exit at state line. Take that exit. Once there take a right and go north to 103rd St. Take a left on 103rd St. The next light which will be at the top of a hill will be Lee Blvd. Take a left on Lee. Then follow it down over 435. It will come to an end, take a left and go all the way back into the park past the tennis courts and we'll be back there. Now for Kansas people take 435 east to state line, take a left on to state line then follow the same directions as posted above after that.

I and three others left as we didn't see anyone, we were there at till 630...

We'll have to re do this some other time guys... it would have been good. Oh well things happen.

Well there seems to be some issues. Some of us was there before 630. However no one bothered to call or PM each other with these smart phones, to check the our whereabouts. So I sitting on 108 cans of Pepsi products and chips, :( It would have been some fun and next time, if I will gather some local digits. Pepsi and rum will cure the ills

Yeah, I was there at about 540 something, but around 600 no one was there, so stayed a bit but then headed home... yeah it would have been fun had about 20 burgers and 20-30 brats ready to be cooked and eaten.

Well hey, next time we rock one of these, as you said, get some local numbers and get everyone on the same page and locateable.

Sorry I missed it... just let me know when the next one is, maybe we'll have better luck next time?

well sence im running agina(as of a hr ago) i will be willing to go to the next one. i would like to be informed to.

thanks dustin.

Awe man that sucks that it didn't work out this time. Maybe next time i can attend and we can work out the kinks. Until then, why don't someone setup a way we can all exchange numbers on the web and send out text msgs since that is s little more direct. Surely with the ability to share locations via phone we can all arrange to be in the same spot at the same time. I'm down for giving out my number as a means of keeping in touch. Anyone willing to organize such a way that we can give our numbers without everyone in the world seeing them?

Also, thank you to the couple peeps who volunteered their DSM expertise to me. Much appreciated.

Yeah, sounds like a great idea. For future reference though, I'll have to call people on mine so you don't get charged with international fees due to me having a +44 number. But yeah I say at least one person keep all the numbers on hand so that the next time we have a meet or plan to have one all they have to do is notify and contact those to see where they are at. One idea might be it could be the one choosing/setting the date or a designated "head contact" for the event or events. Anyways let me know if that sounds like a plan, best to have someone relatively close to actual event be the the head contact.

And no problem to helping you out, that's what we're here for. Most of us here are actually nice enough to not say "use the search." Just FYI, I'm still learning somethings but I know enough to get you in the right direction.

Yeah, I too drove around the park from about 530-630 and did not see a single dsm. I did finally locate Fred who was being driven in a taxi and then we continued driving around looking for people. We only found a family reunion and a church's single group LOL.
