hey guys i just had to buy a 97 eagle talon esi with the 420a motor and now when im goin down the road lets say im at 3rpm it will all of a sudden drop to 2rpm the jump right back up to 3rpm so basically it hesitates alot but its no so bad when u get goin but i have changed the cam senor and crank and the fuel filter and the coil pack and check the wires by taking them off one at a time while it running to see if the engin changed tune.

so im kinda lost now:confused:

Could be your throttle position sensor. They can get glitchy and cut out intermittently. You can check the sweep with a scan tool or logger. Just make sure it starts at 0 and is smooth all the way up to 100 percent. Tps will not always set check engine lights either.

hey well i just put one on there and so far i havent had any problems yet but luckly i have an 98 talon with the same engin to steal parts off of but i will keep u updated if anything changes
