When I was installing my Joe P MBC the adjuster knob poped out of the unit itself. I ended up just screwing it back in but I was wondering if when the knob came out the balls came unseated so that it would not be working properly. Is there any way to check this or should it be ok?

It should be fine if you put it back in the way they came out. Just make sure to take it slow when first starting to get your desired boost level just like you normally would with any new controler.
