OK I have a 99 eclipse gst with about 18,000 miles on a rebuilt motor. I had a MBC and an o2 dump on for some time and the car ran great! but when i took them off when i floor the car it goes to 5,000 rpms fine then it studders, jerks, and wont accelerate anymore. It makes this loud noise too like a mechanical part is broke. Driving is fine and doesn't idle funny at all until i floor it. I have replaced plugs and wires with stock ones I've had all the belts including timing done by a mitu dealer and even did a book leak test everything was fine. Any help would be great Thanks guys!

Well, my 97 talon does the same thing but only when it's cold and once it's warmed up it stops but i'm not shure what's wrong with your's :coy:

Please tell me you have a boost gauge. If you do, which I suspect not, describe your boost behavior during the studdering. Are you able to reach beyond 5k without wot? If so, I would revisit that boost leak test.

ok now when i rev up my intake filter makes a fluttering noise instead of the bov going off it sounds like, is this bad?

I am new on these forums so please bare with me. car was not idleing right after i replaced thae batterey and gaskets of my turbo and manifold. it would die when it idled and when you revved it, it sounded like it was out of balance like it was miss firing. well we checked the camshaft position sensor and reset the idle and timing, and it worked great becuase the idle was perfect now as opposed to the way it use to idle before it wanted to die all of the time becuase use idle at like 1000 rpms. well everything was good but one thing when i floored it, it would pull up until about 5,500 rpms and then it would really sound like it was trying but the rpms would go up slowly and stop at like 6,200 rpms. i thought the computer was just geting used to the increased flow sense i unplugged the battery and i have a straight pipe, with a pacesetter manifold. but when i gunned it in my car today in 3rd gear, it would pull fine but then it would not pull any more.
Please help me find out what this is.
Thanks in advance.

OK Well your profile has no mods listed so please update that if you do have mods done to your car. First question to you is are you really making so much power after 6200 RPM's that you even need to be up in that range? I am guessing no. Can't really answer any questions until we get a Mod list. ;)

well from what i know it use to go there just fine. im not saying it pulls slowly after that becuase i need more power, i mean the engine starts to shake and it never use to do that it seems like it cant keep going up like there is somehting wrong witht the engine. my list of mods are: apexi N1 downpipe, 2.5 piping done at muffler shop and pacesetter header, not much o ya and replaced my spark plugs, wires, and filter with k&n.
