I have noticed lately that when Im getting on it at about 5,000 rpms my car goes kinda flat it just doesnt really make any power and the rpms just crawl, what would be the first thing to check?

I thinks its time to make a boost leak tester,Yeah it doesnt just cut out real hard its really slow and gradual

I checked the ecu and everything is perfect,I took it for a drive and the oil pressure was good and just changed the oil not too long ago so what else could it be?

Its only happening when im driving so I must be in boost right? And the strange thing is it only did it in third and fourth last night.

... but a boost leak usually makes it cut out real hard, not crawl up the rpm ladder.

This is not entirely true. You are describing fuel cut. However, depending on the severity of the leak, the car may be running extremely rich and losing power at that RPM range without actually triggering the fuel cut.

OP: you probably noticed it more in gears 3 and 4 (and I'm pretty sure you didn't reach 5k rpms in 5th gear on public roads ;)) because it takes more power to accelerate in those higher ratios. You definitely should start with a BLT before you go crazy with harder diagnostics and expensive parts.

Ok so who knows who makes a good reliable boost leak tester?I seen I can make one myself but not sure how accurate those are?

Not much accuracy or reliability goes into making a boost leak tester. You're not measuring anything. Just make one yourself, get an air compressor, and spray your head to filter with soapy water and fix any bubbles that form. Of course, watch your boost gauge to make sure you don't go over 20psi. If this is your first time doing a BLT, however, I got $5 that you won't get over 10psi. ;)
