jdm or rebuild

i was just wondering what u guys think of rebuilding an engine, or just swapping in a jdm motor, what do u think is the cheapest and or best route to take? and another question, can u get 6 bolt jdm motors?

Rebuild if you have the time and knowledge. Buy a JDM or a working UDM engine if you don't have the time, experience or the desire to rebuild an engine. Yes, you can get 6-bolt JDM engines, I bought one for my car and it works just fine. Be aware that you will have to swap a part or two to a JDM if you buy one. I found a nice link for JDMs at the bottom of DSMTuners the other day, I kind of wish I bought from them instead. http://www.totaljdm.com/ is the link.

I bought a "JDM" engine... but I would not do it again unless the motor came with the 16G and the bigger injectors.

Otherwise I would rebuild with forged pistons, rods, etc.
