I ordered one of these the other day as it was about the same price as a regular jdm engine usually comes out to with shipping. I know it comes with a big 16g and 510 injectors, but what else is to be expected? I have heard the cams are slightly more aggresive as well as the compression ratio being 8.5:1 instead of the usdm 7.8:1 1g ratio. Anyone have any info on this? I'm looking to run around 400 awhp on the stock bottom end and plan to just throw in my crower springs and retainers as well as my 272s and smim. If the bottom end does indeed have different compression pistons in it, are these stronger or weaker than the standard 1g pistons? I'm assuming they wouldn't be weaker since the car comes with a big16g from the factory already, ( and supposedly 240-250 hp ) but you never know.

Also, I need to order the proper flywheel and I don't have time to wait for it to get here to see if it's a 6 bolt or 7 bolt. I'm assuming since it's a 93 to expect a 7 bolt?

Any information on this engine would be very helpful, and please lets try to avoid comments such as " jdm engines are crap, " or " why would you buy one of those " and other such comments. I'm starting this thread because after a long time of searching the jdm vr4 rs blocks don't seem to have too much info on them. For those that don't know, they have a red valve cover and yellow injectors and a 16g. :thumb:

I would have had to order either a 6 bolt or 7 bolt for that engine as I didn't have any at my house anymore. ( Aftermarket ones )

Either way after getting screwed around by the company I told them to eat a dick and cancel my order. I just picked up an ams ross / eagle bottom end instead so I think this will make me a lot happier anyways. OMG

Hey that's awesome you got the ams engine, I'm probably going with them when I get mine next month.
