Hey guys!
My friend just got a cyclone motor from Japan. He asked me to try to find out some info on it.
Ok, here it goes.

It has a red valve cover, a TDO4 turbo, and it has a cyclone intake manifold. So far, thats all the info he gave me.

Can you guys tell me what car's they put this motor in (in japan), and what HP rating this motor had over there?
I'm assuming that this had to come out of an automatic transmission car because of the turbo size, but which one?

I was under the impression that this motor only came in the Evo's, Eclipse's, and Galant's, is this right?

It came out of an A/T Galant in Japan. I actually just installed that same motor in my car this weekend. Turned into a bit of a fiasco, as we discovered that the BS belt had snapped and caused it to skip timing and demolish the intake valves. Ended up doing almost a full rebuild on it. Luckily, managed to get a complete head minus cams for $150. Any other questions about it, let me know.

Any idea how much power they made stock? And are these motors built any different then the US Spec 6 bolt?

They're built the same as the US 6-bolts with the exception of the Cyclone intake manifold. They make somewhere around 205hp (NOT whp) stock.
