I just ended up installing a gt3076-13 with a 1.06 are turbine housing, my current issue is that the turbo is spooling at around 4/4.5k rpm but even though I have a 1.5bar spring in my WG I don't reach full boost in first and second gear. Haven't tried the 3rd gear yet, boost also builds up slowly (nothing as fast as a bb turbo or my old 16g big). I have checked for boost leaks multiple times but there aren't any at all.
Does anyone has any idea on what the issue is?
Need help asap.

Didn't you have another forum up about this last week? Anyhow, you should have stay with your big 16g or gone with a gt3070R. The gt3076 that you have is first off only single ball bearing and second housing is much too large. Bigger in size don't always benefit you.

You just have a big A/R on it. It decreases spool times but makes sure it gets maximum flow. What RPM is your redline? Try getting a smaller hotside on it and it will for sure wake up. Also, check for pre-turbo exhaust leaks as that can both slow spool time and cause decreased performance up top.

Try it with the -14 (instead of the -13) housing as that has the same V-band discharge as yours and will be an easy swap with little to no modification required. If you want even faster spool up, the -15 housing will suite you better. Probably the best all around choice unless the car is strictly for drag racing.

sourcing out another housing will be a problem as we don't have many performance shops here and have to order which takes quite long.
Actually its a dual bb turbo gt3076r I forgot to mention R :)
my 16g big maxed out at 22+psi, so I went for 30r and got it for real cheap from a friend with this housing so I didn't had any option on housing.

Where can I get a housing for my gt3076r from?

Also are these the symptoms of large housing? Has anyone ever tried this big housing on their dsm?

People have ran bigger a/r housing even I'm running a bigger housing, which spools about 20 psi at 4400-4500 rpm but it's capable of making up to 800-900 hp. However a gt30r compressor is way to small for 1.06 a/r housing. It defies all the advantages of a gt30r on a DSM. Even people with a gt35r have smaller housing than your.

@1gdsm4g63
dude! which turbo are u running? and with which housing?

Do u think the issue i have is because of bigger housing>??

I'm running a Holset HX-52 16cm housing which is equivalent to 1.12 A/R. but they turbo has a fricken big 71mm compressor to accommodate for a decent spool time.

Of course the problem is that you have to big of a housing. Some people like faster spool so they go the .49 A/R and some people don't care about the spool as much as they do about power so the go with the .63 or .76 A/R with more airflow, but they certain don't go to a 1.06 A/R. That big of a housing go with something like a gt40r.

any idea where i can get a smaller housing from and for how much??
how come you can hit full boost at 4.5k rpm?? what are ## other mods??
sounds great!! link me to some of ## videos and pics :D

The HX-52 has a much bigger inducer compressor to accommodate the big housing for faster flow. It's also a t4 twin-scroll turbo setup with a 100% twin-scroll manifold using two wastegate and the Holset turbos are much better designed then the Garretts.

Here are more pictures.

Woof that is one crazy setup... How muhch is hx52 flowing?

From where can I get a smaller t3 housing?

Or is there any work around of my spoolup issue?

Once I get on my laptop, I'll edit this post and send you a link to a vendor with ALL the hotsides for a GT30.

EDIT: Here you go. Garrett's site says you have a 90mm V-band discharge and that doesn't seem to be an option in the smaller housings. Do you have a T3 or a T4?

It's a t3

what if I will get a .48 ar housing on my 30r? Will there be any disadvantage because of this housing? I assume flow (my 30r is 60lbs) will be the same.
