Ive been chasing an idle problem with my talon. It doesnt seem to be working like it should.
I repair an ISC with good coil, and with a good housing and the shaft spins freely.
No luck, then i sent my ECU in to Steve and he checked it out and the ISC drivers are fine.
When i plug the ISC plug in with the ISC unbolted, i just hear a buzz and felt a slight vibration from the ISC motor, but it doesnt move like most of the vfaqs and etc say they should do..
Only thing i can think of is either the wiring to the ISC or maybe the ISC could still be bad?? FWIW the coils i used to fix up one of the ISC was from an ISC that had its plastic cover broken, so the insides of the motor was all rusted, the coils still tested good so i just cleaned all the loose rust and dirt off them...
I know i have a small vac lean, (TB shaft seals)
but i can still barely achieve the proper base idle (BISS almost completely closed though) i need to fix that leak.
Its funny because when i ground the ISC pin on the diag port, it changes the idle, so i know the ISC is working to some extent, the car seems to idle fine, but when turn the AC on it bogs down pretty bad and lugs the engine. Also the car seems to be hard starting sometimes, requiring quite a bit of cranking. if a slightly press the gas pedal, it seems to start alot better, AFAIK the ISC is supposed to open up on crank to get the engine enough air to start easier.
