Ok so I have a bad ISC which I am repairing soon. I still had to drive to work which is only a mile away. I was in a situation where I had to accelerate quickly. I noticed that the car was bucking and hesitating once it reached the third tick mark on the stock boost gauge. Is this related to the ISC or my BOV or the turbo itself? any ideas?

The tick on the boost gauge means nothing, you need an aftermarket boost gauge to accurately know where boost/vacuum is at.

As far as the bucking/sputtering, I would do a boost leak test. Pressurize your intake and listen for the hissing of any leaks. Spraying soapy water will also help track down any hard to hear leaks.

If none is found, replace the spark plugs with NGK BPR6es (BPR7es if you have minor mods) plugs gapped at .028'' and replace the spark plug wires as well.

The ISC controls idle only, you can drive with it unplugged and it won't affect WOT or high throttle conditions like that.

I have new NGK's so I take it its a boost leak. Is the ISC easy to unplug it is really starting to annoy me! :) I couldn't find anything in the chiltons or on this site as a step by step guide to unplug it.
