is it possible to swap a 420a 5spd, witha 2.4l 93 talon auto?

possible probably...cost-effective? not at all. the mounts for the trans don't line up, the trans will be on the other (pass.) side. the motor could go in...but u will have to switch out the engine wiring harness, get a turbo ecu...probably more that i'm forgetting...but u'd be much better off to build up the 420a if the block's still good. otherwise look for a used one.
 
if you can find a 2.4 from like a stratus or a caravan i believe that that motor will bolt up to where a 420a once was. you would just have to use your head for the reverse flow. but that head will bolt right up to a 2.4 out of a stratus. that will give you a little more torque and bottom end.
 
c thats what i thought... i didnt think they made the 2.4 for the 94 and below....unless this guy swapped his out before hand...im just lookin for options ### my 420A in my 99 blew a few weekends ago..threw a rod straight out the block...so yeah just tryin to find the best option...i have had on offer sent my way for a 420A but i can seem to find to many worth buyin...any ideas?
