So the fiance and I took the Eclipse on a little road trip yesterday to meet up with her parents for fathers day. On the way back I was rounding a bend in the road and didn't see the tire sized pot hole till it was to late.

Front tire went in then the rear. Sounded awful. About a mile later the car started to shimmy and it sounded odd. Pulled over on the highway and noticed the rear had blown out. The rim was bent to heck. Luckly, the front was just peachy.

Is this repairable?

Iowa, huh? My roommate and I drove to Iowa earlier this year to pick up a '99 GSX. Same thing happened to us on the way home:

As far as I know, this is not repairable. It may be possible if you find the right person and pay the right price, but I feel it would be more logical and more sensible to just bite the bullet and buy a new rim. At least that's what we did.

Ouch man that sucks!! I really don't think that's repairable unless you drop a good amount of money on it, probably cost less to just buy a new rim so I wouldn't even try and justify fixing that one when you can pick up a new one for the same price. You two probably hit the same hole!! :D!
