I have a 1997 Eclipse GS-T Spyder with over 110K miles on it. I am the original owner and I've tried my best to be a decent one. However, standard wear and tear plus a stupid mistake or two when I was younger have left it in pretty sorry shape: The convertible top is ripped, the transmission has a blown first gear, the body shell is dented in a couple places, and the interior is okay, but just barely. At least the engine is okay. Oops, no it isn't. I started it up after the car was sedentary for a while, and it leaked oil out of the tailpipe- I think I have a broken ring or 4. It used to be my daily driver, but I've moved on to other cars, namely an Audi S4. That Eclipse, though, has always been a love - the first "real" performance car I've ever owned.

Recently I've decided to get off my bum and do something about this car. I obviously have too much money and time on my hands because I'm going to do it "right" - well, right in my eyes. I've been reading this forum for a few months, have a few ideas, and I'm ready to pull the trigger. Actually, I already have. Consider these first few posts a "catch up" to where I am at this point.
