Hi everyone. I'm a new 93 Tsi owner as of 2 Saturdays ago and have been reading these boards obsessively since then. Well i never had a reason to post until now. But first let me introduce myself a little more. I am a 19 yr. old guy out of San Ramon and am gonna enter my second year at Cal Poly in the fall. I know a decent amount about cars, previously driving and owning a 94 integra, 97 civic, and now driving a 2004 scion xb and my DSM. The car has almost 13k miles on it and most of the basic maintenance has been done, oil change, plugs, tranny fluid, coolant, and several little things. I also have a Apexi GT Spec DP and a straight 3" back from that. All the free mods are done and the car holds a steady 15psi but it will creep up to 18. Boost controller is on the way so i will make sure to handle that. I have a set of pro-kit in my trunk also.

To the problem, I changed my tranny fluid to Pennzoil Synchromesh and the car seemed fine until i left it sitting there for 2 days and then noticed a puddle of fluid about 18"x36". after further inspection i saw it to be from the t-case yoke. So I know that there is a recall on it and i will make sure that it gets done. My question is how many of you have had this done and which dealership have you gone to. I would like to go to one who has performed the recall and have been easy to work with. I talked to Dorene last night and it looks as if we may go to Concord Chrysler, but any other suggestions? Thanks

Edwin

thanks for the help guys. well i went over to stoneridge chrysler in dublin and they were more than helpful to me. they had no problem having me take the car in. i will be taking it in today and they said that it could take up to a week to get the parts after the look at exactly what needs to be repaired.

You may have an advantage in dealing with Chrysler rather than Mitsubishi. Mine was done by Geweke Dodge in Lodi, apparently after the service manager explained to the area rep that yes, they would be doing it.
Arm yourself with the info from the transfer case recall thread

and for me it worked to not be pushy.

just to update it, i took the car in on friday morning and they had it out by tuesday afternoon. definately recommend stoneridge chrysler for this.
