OK Ive been reading 50 million forums and posts about the 420A turbo conversion and I have a good idea of everything I need from the fuel system to a FCD. Im tryna figure out what turbo to run. A external or internally gated turbo. The internally gated turbo is already set to 7psi which i wanna run. I can get a good deal on both, what do you guys suggest?

Im also worried about inspection because here in philly we have inspection every year. Would the treadstone performance dump tube/downpipe help me pass my yearly inspection.

If your planning on sticking with 7psi then just go with internal because it'll be cheaper

You're choice between internal and externally gated turbo will not have any affect on whether you have a CEL or not.

You guys no bout a way or a few things I should buy to ensure that it most likely wouldnt happen???
I figured once I removed the header and installed the turbo manifold I would need a downpipe with a o2 bung to avoid trippin the CEL. Worst comes to worse Ill just pull the bulb... I just wanna make sure I do things the right way the first time

Yes, you'll want an o2 bung in your downpipe - regardless of whether you have emissions testing or not. Also, if they plug anything into your car during the test, having the bulb or not won't matter, except that you as the driver won't see it. CEL information is stored in, and pulled from, the ECU.

Not sure about PA emissions rules..but here in Utah they always run a diagnostic on your car regardless of the light or not. I can't foresee any issues other than making sure your o2 sensors are all good like you mentioned above.

So long as you install it right, you shouldn't have any CEL. I deleted my EGR and EVAP system before the install, and after the install, those are still the only codes I'm throwing. Even with using the cheaper Missing Link, I don't have any problems.
