For getting your interior paneling black, I recommend you remove it manually and do the following:
- I recommend Flat Black because it tends to stick better and won't rub off as much, but if you must have gloss then get it. You can get the cans as little as 96 cents at Wal-Mart (ColorPlace Brand) DO NOT get Krylon Fusion, its a joke that stuff rubbed off my door panels in a matter of weeks.
- Get primer, you can get it as little as 96 cents at wal-mart as ColorPlace brand.
- Get 800 grit, and 1000 grit sandpaper
- Get Clearcoat, automotive duplicolor works the best, but you can go with ColorPlace brand as well.
- Rough up the surface to be painted with 800 first, then proceed with 1000
- spray the primer, wait about 15 minutes then put another coat on
- spray the black on, wait about 20 minutes, put another coat on, wait for a good hour now
- spray the clearcoat on, wait 15 minutes and do another coat
If done properly it should last the life of the car.
