intercooler resting on bumper !

An intercooler resting on the bumper doesn't seem much of a problem to get your car "on it's feet".

First of all what intercooler/intercooler kit do you have. A nice one (which doesn't have to be expensive), comes with mounting brackets so the bumper should not need to be the sole thing to take the weight of the core. If not your ic piping would be the one taking the weight.

Most if not all FMIC kits requires the front bumper to be trimmed or else it will interfere, but still not a big deal.

If your fmic did not come with brackets, you will have to make some custom ones.

And since you are new here, is a word of advice.. or perhaps a warning, if this issue you are having now seems to be major (which in honesty by your post makes it seem that way), good luck in the DSM world, I suggest you read up a lot on this site.

i kinda got ####ed on a deal and some people i meet said that i should come here. point is, i dont have a bracket, the tubes are holding it up but not very well. i dont know what kind it is, still need to learn more about whats in it. its a larger one because the fogs had to be taken out and cut into.

If you Knew it needed brackets then you answered your own question. make you a couple brackets and mount it up. the reason its cutting the bumper is because under pressure the intercooler and pipeing is expanding pushing the intercooler against the bumper. hope that helps some.:thumb::talon:

how would i go about making one and if i had to buy one what would you recommend from where?

If it has some threaded holes just go to home depot and buy some metal brakets. bolt it to your car. If not, find a shop to weld some thing up for you.

there are a few "performance" shops that pop up on google in your area , if you dont feel like you can make the part your self take it too someone. For the most part any shop that dose custom exhaust work should be able to help you
