intake takes in nothing but hot air.

On my 2gnt the Air Intake pipe comes around and sits right in front of the radiator fans. I assume all its taking in is hot air, and the stock intake case is gone, so is there anything that i can do to prevent all the hot air going into the engine?

i would personally suggest a heat sheild, one can be bought off ebay for cheap.

It is fine. Assuming you're non-turbo, mine was the same way. It's just one of the locations the filter fits. Don't worry about it.

The greatest benefit to installing an aftermarket air intake system is removing restrictions in the intake path - not any reduction of intake temperature. Besides, a short ram is a safer bet, anyway.

Those are the websites that every 420a eclipse/talon owner should read from top to bottom. When we say research these are some of the main places we are talking about.
