probably a dumb question but while installing my boost gauge, when the engine was off I tried sucking/blowing through end of the vacuum line where it connects to the boost gauge. are you supposed to be able to do that? because i can, and i can hear a leak somewhere around my intake manifold. i know it's not the boost gauge line or the fpr line because when i squeeze the line off the manifold that goes to the fpr, it stopps (boost guage is tapped between fpr). also, i get 16hg of vacuum at idle.

is the intake manifold supposed to be sealed when the car's off?

thanks.

Well i made a leak tester. i pumped the system up to 20 psi from the turbo inlet. the boost guage slowly drops to zero, about 1 psi a second or so and i didnt hear any leaks. i guess a psi drop a second isn't bad.

i can't believe nobody could answer my questions here.

yeah im not really sure about your problem, i hate when people cant just throw a suggestion at you though :thumbdown
