Hello all,
I just recently got an Injen intake for my Eclipse GS-T and I can't get the rubber tube that goes from the intake pipe to the MAS to get on there because it's too small. Has anyone ever had this problem or did Injen actualy screw up? I think it's the latter because the tube is 1/2" too small  . Anyway, if it's not just me I'd like some feed back. Thanks all.

I dont exactly know what your problem is, but the installation should not leave you with any troubles. Mine was a straight bolt-on, everything fitted perfectly. Wish I could help you out.

I'm not sure of the brand of my intake, but I had a similar issue... The rubber coupler seemed to be just a bit too small, but it didn't make installation impossible. It just made it a test of my patience to try to use all sorts of tools to try to stretch it and finagle it on there. The best way, I found, was to put the intake on the floor with the MAF end facing you, put the bottom of the coupler on and place your foot (or a couple of toes) in the intake to hold it down. Then, get in touch with that rage you feel everytime your DSM craps out on you (I used throttle body boost leaks...  ) and reef on the thing until you can slide it over the mouth. Then kick something... It helps... Hope it works out for you. :barf:

my freind had this same trouble.

we used a propane torch to heat up the coupler to make it more pliable. but if you do it too much in one spot youll melt straight through the rubber.

it was still a pain in the ass, but not impossible. its just a matter of stretching and finnageling it till it does what you want it to do.

did you get it from ebay? Or whats the deal, all the intakes that i have installed in 2g's have been straight bolt-on being the products that i've installed i know where they bought the product.

love the anger, steve. i had the same problem when i got my k&n filter and adaptor from a local performance store- this will never happen again (going local, that is :nono: ) my adaptor was too small to fit on the maf, and still is actually. its made up of ss or some kinda metallic compound of some sort. i tried shedding some of the corners, but have been unsuccessful. not to worry, im just gonna get another intake, adaptor, and pipe and be done with it :|

this has been a PITA, specially when i didnt realize that the filter is supposed to go on the adaptor BEFORE the adaptor goes on the maf, not after.
