installing turbo kit, need help with the bov, its weird.

okay, this bov is really weird, it has 2 stems comming off of it, it also came with a T fitting so i installed it that way. but what is it for? and do i have it installed the right way?

Well, the reason for the lower port is that if you hook it up to a source that doesn't see vacuum (i.e. anything that is before the throttle body---IC pipe) the bov becomes a pop-off valve. Also, it keeps the BOV sealed under boost but it doesn't make a long bov sound when released.

A lot of 1G BOV owners and even the EVO MR BOV's get modified to have a 2nd port for this purpose alone. No more leaks.

I am pretty sure that you should only use the bottom port.

You have it totally wrong. The top port (on the magenta part) goes to the intake manifold. The bottom port goes to the intake pipe right at the base of the BOV, or any boost source after the intercooler, but before the throttle body.
