Installing camshaft positioning sensor (distributor)

How do you tell which way to install the camshaft positioning sensor (distributor) into the cam (91 eagle talon TSI). i noticed a little dot on it but there is nothing on the cam to indicate which way it goes. i could end up 180 deg off. (I am using HKS cams and i still have the stock ones laying around)

Just so you know, a cam position sensor is not the same as a distributor, although a distributor is driven off the cam as well, they are not the same.

You have to put the #1 piston at TDC. Then line up the grooved mark on the spinning part of the CAS to the dot on the housing of the CAS and put it on the head.
