Installed HRC fmic

Let everybody know about the next Dyno Day,

I missed the last one.
I went not to long ago, EIP and found out I have lost my turbo
( wouldn't hold boost at all, turbo leaks in bearings ), and still got 300 WHP at 16-17ish psi.

I really like the chance to go with you guys this time......
Just need a little more time for a new turbo.........

Cool larry, let me know when you guys head up there. As for my love for HRC products, not really love but easier for me. I bought the S16g used about 15 months ago for $600 w/ install kit. Didn't know awhole lot about turbos so I just took a chance. Also liked the fact that I could upgrade to a S20g for cheap later on. WHich I plan on doing now. The HRC fmic, picked it cause I liked the way it performed at a recent dyno and the fact it fits and looks good on my year of car. Maybe if I started over I would try a different turbo set-up but I still have no regrets. I know their "super" turbos aren't a club favorite but really I dont care. It works for me and it hasn't given me any problems, yet. So say what you will, but I feel my car is pretty set-up especially for a daily driver. Everyday I get in my car, I still crack a smile when the boost kicks in, which is why I still love this sh!t. Peace

Have you had any fitment problems with installing the HRC FMIC?
How much of the bumper did you have to cut?
Did the kit come with full instructions?

No fitment problems just had to do some cutting like any other fmic. I had to cut about 2-3 inches off of the bottom of the bumper plus some on the pasenger side to fit the exit i/c pipe. Plus I had to cut the lower part of the fascia as expected. And yes it came with instructions. If you have any other questions feel free to ask, I dont have a problem helping other people out with stuff I know a little about. Oh, and the IC is working great!!

I just installed my HRC FMIC last night.

Like you said, it came with directions, but they weren't too helpful.
There were no pictures of the piping, and just one picture of the
front fasca cutting. The Greddy FMIC came with much better
instructions.

There was a lot more cutting involved than I had to do for the
Greddy FMIC. I ended up just leaving the black bumper piece off,
so my front fasca kinda sags a little.

I thought it'd take 2 hours, it ended up taking 4 hours with all the
cutting and recutting to get it to fix properly.

Looks great on the car, but now the car feels slower
