The wideband came with a bung that the sensor screws into. But when I screw the sensor in the bung, the sensor comes pretty close to being flush with the end of the bung. Isnt the sensor supposed to stick out into the exhaust? Now just the tip would be sticking out. Any ideas?

If the bung is screwed all the way on then everything is fine. I have an LC-1 and that is how mine is too. Thats the way all o2 sensors are. It does not matter if they are narrowband or wideband.

you've ###### seen it around LOL. Its a green 95 talon. But anyways, its normal for the sensor not to stick deep into the exhaust?

Almost the entire perforated end of my LC-1 is exposed to the exhaust gasses. The bung that came with my kit is only deep enough to cover the threads of the sensor. Can you post a pic? Maybe you have an extended bung designed for keeping the temperature at the sensor down when it's mounted in less than ideal locations such as too close to the turbo.

sure, I will post a pic of it tomm.

edit

I just found it on there site. You are right. Its is extended...

So I guess I just have to use a regular bung and not this one?

Call around to your local muffler shops, as they might have the shallow bungs available for purchase. I thought I saw some at my local shop when I had my bung welded there awhile back. While you're there you can have it welded to your pipe too. If it were me, I'd probably just cut the extended one you have to the proper length and use that.

Yeah my lc-1 kit came with a standard size bung. Maybe they switched it with the extended size. I got my kit last summer.

yea, I will just get one from the shop and have them weld it on. Should only be a couple $
