Innovate LC-1 Wideband Problem Installing (Pics)

I plan on installing this wideband real soon, but when looking at the o2 bung it comes with, it seems quite long..I was looking at pics of others o2 bung and they are small and on an angle. Is it normal to install it with the bung they provided? Here are pics:

thats the same one i got with mine. That is the extended one. You dont want to use that. Cut it or get a shorter one.
