As it says, i recently just picked up a set of RC 550's (i know my mod list says i don't have a fp, but a walbro 190 is in the mail) that were only used for around 800 miles on a friends car, and i plan on throwing them in this upcoming week for when i head back to the track.

I do have a SAFC2, wideband and a logger i can borrow, but my question is should i run better after i do the install, or will it be the same. I am a complete novice when it comes to tuning a 4g63, as my last 2 cars were big t VW's. :sosad:

I know with tuning people have seen well in excess of 300 wheel (my goal after fmic), but until im tuning/tuned would i be running better with the injectors in, or should i just wait on the install. Ive read all i can about take on tuning the safc, and i honestly think ill do more harm than good if i take a stab at it, so im going to wait on tuning help from a local guy with a 11 sec evo and low 11 sec 1g awd.

The injectors will allow you to run more boost. So it can have more power if you desire. But you must compensate for the larger injectors with the safc for it to run right.
 
hey what is goin on? i have a 91talon and a big problem. my car i getting fuel cut i believe. at 4500rpm i have a 2.3 stroker evo 3 gt turbo 650cc safc2 magnocore wires a ported head and a bunch of shit pretty much but i cant figure out what is going on. any ideas like maybe what i should set my afc at for 650's i have had my boost at 9, 10 ,13 15, psi and it is all the same i would like to get it dyno tuned but i own a dsm and i am now poor. i set the afc from -15% to -30% fuel tried all different things but i am stumped.

How are you logging your data? Without knowing your knock and TRUE a/f ratio it is a bad idea to play with the setting on your safc.

Don't run more than 16-17 psi with your stock sidemount.

I have a question. What is the reasoning about running an EVO3 GT turbo with a stroker? Did you already have the turbo before you stroked out? And you didn't mention cams in your vehicle profile. Do you have stock cams?

What is your injector duty cycle. This is the best indicator of fuel cut. You are not getting fuel cut if you are not running 100% idc. Fuel cut occurs when the ecu sees an airflow that causes it to calculate over 100% idc. 30% compensation is not enough for your 650s are 44% larger than 450s.

:p Duh! where's my mind tonight. Thanx for catching that. you get rep points. I was just doing this:

650 - 450 = 200
200/450 = 0.444444 = 44%

:notgood: don't take 44% out. That's for sure!
