I was wondering instead of switching the injector trigger wires at the ecu could I just cut and splice the wires where they go? I'm finding it pretty difficult to take the wires out of the harness.

Curious why? Are you running a separate inj driver or a 95 ecu w 1g cas?? If the latter is the case, link v3 eliminates the need for inj swapping.

To answer: yes, you could cut and splice them vs pulling pins. Think about it, its the same thing. Just be double sure you get them right and dont cut too close to ecu so you have "#### up" room if a mistake happens.

You tried both 4123 and 3214? Isnt there one year, iirc 1990 cas, that wont work? Cant remember but i thought one of them will not work but all other 1gs DO.

Maybe you DO have to swap injector wires. I was told on the 97-99ecu it was unnecessary. Ive got a blacktop cas and harness. 97 ecu as well. If i get time ill go hook it up tomorrow or thursday and report back.

Ok i just read a thread where the guy said NOTHING changes with a 1g cas in a 2g ecu. Not the firing order or injectors. Nothing. You have the wires ran correctly per the link to RRE?

oh shit dude..... i dont even think that will work without some kind of adapter and you def need to invert the signal.
Stop right now and get a 1g cas(or a 2gb cas). Done. It will run fine.
Do you have a 95 head? What harness do you have 95-96 or 97-99??

There is no possible reason to try and use a 2ga cas on anything. Its pointless. The point of getting a 1g is you can basically delete the crank sensor and if its a 2ga head you can put the cas on the passenger side where you can actually get to it.

EDIT: Sorry i missed it. You clearly said "97 ecu w 95 cas". I just missed it or it was so damn weird i misinterpreted it LOL. I wasted a lot of posts.
You need to be 100% clear on what yr engine, head, harness, ecu, and cas you have. Im sure it CAN work but its really not worth it. You can buy a 1g cas for 40 bucks and do the wiring yourself. Its easy dude

Alright i have a 97 Ecu 97 harness and a 95 cas. I just need to do some searching to see if the 1g cas will work on the 95 head because the cas on the 95 head is on the driver side near the timing belt.

Theeeeeeeere we go. Now were cooking w gas! And the survey says? YES, it will work. Check latest classifieds go back a few pages and you will find a sweet ass deal on a black top cas. thats the best btw. Green tops work too, just fine but theyre opto-isolated vs hall effect on black tops. You only have to unplug the cas and cps then wire in the 1g cas. USE THE 97-99 rre instructions!!! Leave your old cas in, dont even have to remove it. Pop the valve cover and the rest should be self explanatory on how to install the 1g cas on the passenger side.

Since your 97 ecu you dont need to change a god damn thing bro. Just wire it in right and your done. No injector wires, no plug wire swapping, nothing.

Finally, we're communicating LOL.

Im just curious: If you have a 97 harness how did yoou even manage to connect the cas in the first place? The connector is different. In fact its the ONLY different connector in there i believe. Un hack the harness and follow rre 97-99 1g cas install

side note: can anyone tell that my dsm is down? I have posted so many times in the last month its ridiculous. I think ive been helpful though.....most of the time. Anyway hope that through this mess i could help you.
Best of luck, but u wont need it. You'll be driving in less than a week if the guy ships quick.

Ok then, You dont really even need to solder the old 97 connector back in actually. No harm, no foul. You havent messed w any inj wiring right? If not youre good to go soon as you pick up a 1g cas.
Take care bud
