injector rebuild/repair?

Is there such a thing as injector repair/rebuild? It is a holiday weekend so I am unable to call around.

A set of injectors I plan on running has a dead one in the bunch. I can not get it to pulse with a 6v test. It is just a bosch 1600cc. But I am unable to find the same injector color/tip on ebay or any sites when plugging in the 0 280 150 839 bosch number. My injector is light blue with a metal/silver bottom and a long tip, like double of a stock tip and I could fit 2 isolators on it easy.

I just don't want to buy a different looking injector even if they share the same part number.

I would call Bosch to inquire about getting it repaired or refurbished. I have never heard of an injector rebuilding kit for our DSM's. The only kit I know of for the injectors is the seals. Sorry man but there isnt alot of choices available for you on repair.

1. send to factory for refurbishing
2. search really hard to find the exact same one that someone is willing to sell in singles
3. sell them and notify the buyer that one is burnt out
4. buy a full new set or a full used set of injectors

my understanding is no, unfortunately there is no one out there that can rebuild injectors. they are sealed units, once you get them apart it would be nearly impossible to get it back together and not have it leak.

Tapping on the tip, and then with tweezers I pulled the tip out freed the injector and is now unstuck.
