I was curious if i could just install some 560cc evo injectors without a fuel pump. I plan on buying a fuel pump but i was just curious if i could install the injectors without needing a pump and what would happen if i did.

As long as you have compensation , such as a fuel controller i.e. AFC , Maft , Chipped eprom , or dsmlink pretty much anything along those lines, you should be fine with the stock fuel pump depending on the boost your aiming to run, i had a friend with stock fuel pump and fic 650cc injectors run high 12's in his 1g gsx, with minimal knock and a stock sidemount with a little race fuel , probably not the smartest idea , but wont hurt anything , i believe the stock fuel pump will handle what 550's can or 560's in your case, hope this helps :thumb:

I'm not getting why you would want to do this though. It's more expensive mod and you would have to tune. You can run on an upgraded pump without the need to tune. I would say do the pump first or do both at the same time. That's just me though.

You could go ahead and get the injectors ( assuming you have fuel tuning device of some sort ) and rewire your stock fuel pump to give it a little more juice, and upgrade your fuel pump later and utilize the rewire mod, its a good thing to do anyways if you havent already :thumb:

here is a few links that may help you

I did it because I got a great deal locally on RC550's and a SAFC ($150). I also had a friend with a data logger than knew how to tune and I was confident with him tuning the car after I installed everything. I guess for me it was more of a deal came up and I went for it. I would also do the pump first if you have a chance. I didnt feel like ordering one and waiting a few days although I will be pretty soon here. :)
To answer the original question yes you can, just make sure you have something to compensate and you should be fine. Also remember to get new lower injector seals and possibly new o rings when you go to install the new injectors. The old ones get hard and become more of a hard plastic instead of a seal. Hope it helps :thumb:
