Injector help

I have a 98 RS, Just recently threw the Hahns stage II kit on it and built the motor. I was talking to some guy and he said that i couldnt just through big injectors on it. He said it wouldnt work. Need your help. Does this guy even know what he is tlaking bout. If you could help me out cause im on my way to pushing 20 psi. Thanks

No, you cannot just throw big injectors in it and be set. You will need some sort of fuel management. A fuel pressure regulator, and some sort of fuel computer. Some say AFC doesn't work and some say it works great. Try a search, I know more of the 4g63 compared to the 420A so I wont pretend that I do. Just pointing you in the right direction.

Alright thanks man. I have a wide band in it right now. I bought a SAFC II on ebay and got screwed. it didnt work. Could i use just the SAFC. And if i had SAFC then i could just through the injectors on there. Thanks for the help.

SAFC is a must (or any other fuel computer), however, you need adequate fuel supply in the first place, so fuel pump is a must here. Then you need to be able to flow enough fuel back (Can't remember for sure if 420A has looped fuel system, but think it does.) so thatyou don't end up with too much fuel at idle/low speed, when consumption is low. So you need better fuel pressure regulator. Preferably adjustable... Then just plain old tuning will do the trick, although since 420A isn't as forgiving to tuning screw-ups as 4G63, you need to take it slow and invest some time in tuning.

Ok thanks man. Yeah i have purchased the walbaro 255 but just have not installed it yet. Cause the Hahn kit came with an upgraded fuel pump. So really all i need is to instal the fuel pump, injectors, SAFC, and some fine tuning.

Since perfect tune is that much more important to you (having engine that isn't overbuilt like 4G63), I highly suggest you get yourself a wideband (you can pick one up for as low as $300) or dynotune.
