The rear feels locked, if i take a turn sharp (slowly)(like pulling into my driveway) its like im trying to drive over a speed bump or something, and when you do just "go over the bump" the inside wheel spins out a little like its locked. My clutch engagement is right off the floor too so sometimes i rev up a little too much when im trying to slip the clutch and it feels almost like the front wheels are hopping a little or spinning (from driving around the block in the rain last night).
I wouldnt have jumped to the conclusion that the rear is f'd up except for the fact that thats what paul told me. I saw him turning into the shop in my car and saw the back inside wheel skipping like i described and told paul, and he said it must have gotten f'd up from the tow. He thinks it overheated and seized up.
Hmmm id really like for someone else to take a look at it before i go and buy another 3-bolt. Or for paul to really check it out for me. There is a new trans and a used (different) t-case in the car from before when it was towed up so it could be either of those two as well. Im not sure what would happen if my t-case was messed up or if my center diff was welded so i cant really tell the symptoms apart.
If i jack up the car and spin the rear wheels wont one spin the opposite of the other if its working? If it its not then they would spin the same direction?
Edit***
One more thing... when paul went to pull the car out of the shop, upon his first clutch disengagement the front wheels skirted (CHIRP!) and we remembered that he forgot to bolt up the driveshaft. THen when he bolted it back up, we tried to spin the driveshaft and it didnt really want to spin. so thats some more food for thought
Im going to go outside and see if i can jack it all up and see what happens.
