Just wanted to introduce myself, I am a local DSM'er, Hayward just updated my profile. I want to make it, but they screwed up my order for an ADHL cable so its a few weeks late and I don't think my car will be tuned in one night :mad: They wouldn't even ship it overnight for messing up so bad. Oh well. Next time.

Gave a call to a buddy @ SlowboyRacing, I have a Walbro 255 setup for next day air. He said it'll be at my doorstep by WED. So, count me in. My buddy is also coming along with his S13.4...it's a monster.
 
Nice!, I really hope you get it Wed Morning :thumb: my packages sometimes come from 3-5pm :notgood:
By the way I was looking at the weather for wed...Partly cloudy, chance of rain...funny thing is suppose to be sunny today, Tues-sunny, Wed-chance of rain, Thurs-party cloudy, Friday-partly cloudy.
I hate rain. We got 2days left so the weather might change is never %100 accurate anyways.

Welcome DrDSMGSX, nice to see another DSM in the bay :thumb: . Sucks that they messed up your order and you won't be able to attend the track meet but there's always next year. Infineon will open again, Late feb of 06 I think.

Especially with Bay Area weather. It's not really predictable at all. Anyways I'm excited to go. My goal is to hit 13.9 with my current mods.
 
Yeah. My friend is letting me borrow his motor cycle helmet.
 
Hey was anyone planning on gassing up with something more than 91 octane? Yeah I have a friend letting me borrow his motorcycle helmet too, just in the offchance that I somehow pull a sub-14 outta my ass. Or if someone else needs it. Looks like it might be easiest if I just meet everyone up in Pinole.
 
Ok, I got so excited about the fuel pump that I ordered a complete SS fuel tank -> filter line, filter, & feed line. I'll probably just install the pump (since it's quick). UPS arrives @ my house usually before 12 so it'll be cool. As for the helmets, I didn't know you needed one if you break below 14s. I've only went there a couple times and there was a guy w/E-55 AMG hittin mid 12s and he wasn't wearing a helmet. Is this a new rule? I was only hittin 15s and a 14.98 last time I went (exhaust & intake).
 
-Lets check the weather again tomorrow.
-I think the rule always been anything below 14s you need a helmet.
-Meeting will be in Pinole at 2pm.
-Mister spool, try to bring a helmet just in case you need it and are you meeting with us in pinole? or infineon?

One more thing. I got my friend with the evo that I know for a fact is hitting below 14s but he doesn't have a helmet or know anyone that can let him borrow so IF anyone has a friend that can let you borrow an extra helmet please let me know...If he can't find one he won't be able to go :notgood:
 
He can borrow mine if he needs because reality just set in and I know I won't be hitting sub 14 sec. Its kinda small though. Hope he can fit it.

I hope I'm going to be able to launch well. I always spin all of first. I noticed that most of us are FWD (as well as 97s, coinsidence :thumb: ). How do you guys usually launch?

Haha yeah I was just noticing that too! Very interesting. And I have no idea how the hell I'm going to launch seeing as how I have never tried to launch this car before.. Should be very interesting. Hah

Practice makes better. You'll get the hang of it :thumb: Besides theres hondas and acuras toyotas nissans and the SRT4s that are FWD too so you won't look bad :thumb:

Keep the boost/vac at atmospheric pressure (constant revving vs. holding a specific RPM) and feather/ride it out. I keep up with my buddy in his GS-X every time, then kill him. I think I'll be able to bring a couple of helmets, I'll see. I'll meet everyone at Infineon. I can't leave until about 3 or later.
 
ok, so barring any bad weather, I'll be off at noon today. When I get home I'll check back here. But if all goes well, I'll be meeting you guys up in Pinole around 2:00 then right? Anyone planning to gas up with anything higher than 91?

UPS hasn't delivered my stuff yet, usually they're here by this time. If ish comes to ish, I'll just install the fuel pump.
 
The weather around pinole is clear...some cloud but in certain places the sun wants to come out. I was looking in the weather and it said that we should expect a chance of rain the evening time. There is some showers in sacramento.
So far so good though...Here is a picture of how my sky looks right now.
 
Yeah thats what it looks like in the east bay too. Well, I have to wash my car its soooo dirty. Then get some gas. After that I'll be heading up there.
 
how did it go guys? what were the times?
