It is a one man job. All you need is an extra jack to support the tranny a bit.

what i found out to make the job go 10x faster is if you put a scissor jack behind the engine, and push it toward the front of the car the tranny goes on easier and clears everything.T is for TURBO said:Heh... Taking the tranny off is easy as hell, putting it back on is the real pain in the ass...

Same way it came out. Takes me 10 seconds from ground to block all by myselfRedRain said:Its a one man job taking it out, but putting it back together takes two or a jack. I made mine land on my old rainbow rear seats.

I did mine with the engine outside the car (which should be easier) But I could not for the f-ing life of me get the damn input shaft splines to line up with the clutch disk. Out of sheer dumb luck the tranny slipped off the jack I was using and it popped right into place.... It took me a couple of hours to finally get the shit to line up... not to mention dropping the tanny on my pinky finger (which is still black and blue from about 6 months ago).wishihadatalon said:3 times in 1 summer. Its very simple if you get a routine.
