Ok look i just broke my 2nd transmission and i'm in a dilemma. I am going to be getting a stage 3 shep tranny so i already have the tranny. I'm still running a stock 7bolt motor. Eventually later on i'm doing a 6 bolt swap, so of course i'm going to have to change out the bell housings for the tranny to bolt to my 6bolt. But i'm trying not to spend the money on a ACT 2600 7bolt clutch when im changing it out later. What i'm going to do is get a free replacement OEM clutch from the local advanced, and then later on when i do my 6bolt swap upgrade the clutch. My question to you is do you think this stock clutch will hold up. I have had this new clutch in since feb. It has seen probably 100+ launches on it, and seen the track 3 times with about 5 passes each. And it still not slipping. I don't know what kinda of horsepower i'm putting down but the last track visit i ran a 13.8 on 17psi. And i'm looking to run mid to high 12s before i do my rebuild, after my FMIC install and a tune. But do you think with the power increase ill have with my tune and hard piping, will the stock clutch still be sufficient? Like i said this stock clutch has seen so much abuse and is stil holding fine. Any comments and suggestions are appreciated. I did research and bunch of people are saying stock clutch isnt good for much more power than stock hp on these cars. But i sure havent seen a problem yet.

or maybe you can give me a round about whats going on with the transmission

Basically when the car is still it's really hard to move the shifter around... Well regardless there is no first gear at all.. But when the car is still and i can manage to find 2nd i can move the car and drive it and shift through gears perfectly fine. Just no 1st gear at all. Put sometimes, very rarely tho, i can find 1st put as i slowly let out the clutch it pops out and grinds visciously. I have another tranny that 3rd and 4th are shot in it. So i could probably piece 1 good tranny out of them both. Tell me what you guys think

id say making 1 good tranny out of 2 not so great ones is your best.
maybe while your doing that replace your syncro's and etc..
as far as the clutch i would say the oem one could hold up just driving around after the tune and hard piping but i dont kno about it taking to much abuse
