Ok... Here it is... I guess ill let ya guys know what I'm working with first 92 Talon tsi 4g63t 16g 3 inch exhaust fmic 2g pistons ported polished head e prom 3'' GM maf turbo xs bov to atmosphere manual boost controller... I think that's almost all... At 3 to 4 thousand rpm as I just start to boost it starts sputtering and almost backfiring thus leaving me with no way to accelerate further nor build boost. What the heck is going on here?

You must have a huge boost leak after the MAF sensor. The car runs really rich and idle surges when this happens. Its also useless to try and even drive the car normally. The stock boost gauge will sit at about 1-3psi depending how bad it leaks. What does your datalogger say? You have a logger, correct?

one of your couplers must be cracked, which allows you to boost but only to a certain level...it could also be a faulty maf

If there are no boost leaks, check your fuel control and make adjustments. It is most likely running really rich so the computer pulls timing and that is why you get the symptoms you describe.
