Alarm...? Im lost

OK well my stock alarm has a mind of its own. Goes off out of no where about 2 times a day that i know of ? The times are not set its just random but i do catch it about twice a day. Its a 97 GSX and this started about 3 weeks ago thanks guys

Check the adjustment on your hood, door, and hatch switches. One of them is probably just on the edge of being high enough.

like defiant said its almost always a switch going bad in the system but out of all the switches its almost ALWAYS the hood latch.

behind the drivers side headlamp you'll see a black rubber cap over a push botton switch with a single wire hanging from it. The black cover looks much like the hood bump stops so you can easily miss it. Rip the wire out from under it and see what happens.
