i have did a search but i couldnt find anything....

my ignition timing is way retard alot i was told that i would need to get a AEM EMS to set it on my 2g.... is this true????? i have no boost at all .... any help or diagrams would be appreciated

While it's true that you cannot set timing on 95-96 2gs, you can double check to see that all your timing marks line up and that it is properly timed. A 1g cas wired into the 2g engine will let you adjust your timing but some people have complained about phantom knock issues. A 1g cas will probably set you back like $40 as opposed to EMS.

would knock throw off the timing because it was running fine until i started to get lifter tick

Yes, a large amount of knock will cause your engine to retard timing. However, I would bet that it isn't from your lifters. Maybe a faulty knock sensor?
