I bought my 91 Talon AWD and it ran a little rough so I put new plugs, wires injectors in it and completely cleaned out the throttle body and it idles at 4,000 RPM now and it seems like every time I get in my car it gets higher and higher! I read in the manual on how to set the idle but it was like a foriegn language to me. Can anyone clerify/simplify the idle adjustment procedure for me? I appreciate any suggestions! Thanks, Bryan

First, welcome to Tuners! There is a site, I don't know if you've heard of it, called VFAQ.com that lists tons of how-tos about fixing these wonderful cars. Anyway, luckily they have one for adjusting the idle, it's not too hard at all. Like it says in the VFAQ, you want it to idle at 750 RPM.

They explain the idle adjustment procedure pretty well there, with pictures. You probably just moved the screw (BISS - Base Idle Speed Screw) when you cleaned out the TB - no big deal.

Let me know if you have any questions or problems with this procedure, and good luck with the new ride!
