idle rate for an 1g turbo auto??

Im just wondering because I finally have my car running smoothly and steady. got a new ECM in, but it just seems that my car is idling a bit high. it drops to what I think would be normal once its put in gear, but still...

right now its idling at 1700 rpm, is the high? normal?

It should idle about 750-850 in drive. How I do it is pull the ebrake and put it into drive. Make sure no lights/fans/etc are running. If its within that range you are in spec.

Edit: Make sure the car if fully warmed up first.

Im good to go now, runnin steady at 1100 (the lowest I can get it, screw bottomed out), which is fine with me...
