I'm currently throwing at 1494 code, and I've read a dozen different theories on what could cause it to show up. I thought I would start with something simple before I start dropping gas tanks and fogging out the system to find a leak.

I currently have the car won't idle and dies dilemma, after about 15 min of driving it finally will idle on its own. My easiest thought was to disconnect the IAC and do some resistance readings.

On pins 1 and 4 I'm reading about 57 ohms, the same goes for pins 2 and 3. However, and please correct me if I'm wrong, when I move the plunger in and out the of the AIC the resistance readings stay the same. Based on other motor experience I would expect the resistance in the coil to change, or no??? Thoughts, suggestions? Thanks!

Didn't mean to put it in bolt on tech sorry.

Those resistances are correct, and they shouldn't change when the pintle is moved.

Bolt-on tech was the correct forum for this topic.
