I need some suggestions for cheap front rotors/pads.

First off, I live in Oregon so I do in fact drive up and down steep long grades quite often. Cheaping out on brakes isn't much of a choice and with traffic problems on those mountains being fairly common and pretty much being forced to be on the brakes on and off again (Engine braking would cause you to either be rearended or rearend someone else) brake fade is a issue.

I've had nothing but Hawk pads and they have been working out great. I'm not sure which ones I bought last time but I was wondering which ones I should go with?

I'm looking to spend no more than 250 and possibly up to 300. I want a quality rotor but it does not have to be something extreme liked the dimpled/slotted rotors I have now.

This would be just the front pads and rotors like the title says. I also have upgraded to 2g brakes instead of the tiny 1g brakes.

Also if anyone had some suggestions as to where would be a nice cheap place to buy them that would be awesome.

Powerslot rotors and hawk hp+ have been great street/daily pad on my gst. Big improvement over stock. Don't have much fade with them but I haven't pushed them that often though they have seen a few 100+ slow downs and 120-140+ slow downs. Only thing is when im on it hard for extended time I get some vibration which goes away after I let off.

Porterfield R4S pads, coupled with any non-slotted, non-drilled rotors - iirc Brembo do a set.

Check out brakemotive on eBay, some guys I know out of Chicago. Free shipping and great parts, I've had there stuff on all my cars for years. I've warped every other pair of front rotors on my gst except the brake motive ones :)items in Brakemotive store on eBay!

Baer Decela rotors are around $150/pair new. And they work great with Hawk pads.

That's my go-to budget performance brake set.

Isn't that company pretty much the German version of Brembo?
