Ok Im almost done rebuilding my 420A and I cant seem to remember where the fron engine lift point bolts to, can someone put a pic up please? The mitsu service manual and the haynes doesnt show a detailed pic (hand drawn is all they have). Thank you

Nah, I need to see exactly what hole on the head and block the front lift bracker (where the engine hoist hooks to) and the power steering pump bracker connects to the block, but thank you

Well I managed to snap a decent shot of where the lift bracket is, you can't see it too well due to the water pipe, then manifold. To sum it up there is a bolt hole on the right side of the head, a bit above the holes for the exhaust manifold(top bolt of bracket). For the bottom hole, you use the bottom far right bolt that bolts the exhaust manifold to the head.

I couldn't get a good pic of the Power steering bracket due to it being dark, and the engine is hot so I don't want to reach down in there blind.

Thats what I thought! Thank you bud, I thought it went there to even out the weight from the rear bracket but when I lined it up to see it doesn't want to line up straight, the bracket wants to tilt a lil to the left, guess Im not as much of a moron as I thought, just gotta learn to trust myself :thumb:

You sure do. I still have problems with that to this day(I'm much better than I used to be). I've come to realize bolt on tasks are the simplest things you can do to a car. Some are more severe than others, but simple, none the less. Once you rip the engine apart, that's when specifications come into play and you need to start worrying if you aren't 100% confident in your mechanical skills.

Not to mention most bolt on modifications/tasks are simply common sense.

Goodluck with the rest of your project. We're here if you need us.:thumb:
